Vince Iannello Scammed a Blind Man, Facing Lawsuit
SHARE

Vince Iannello is a businessman who lost his realtor license after he tricked a blind man into selling his home.

In 2019, Harold Verge, a 73-year-old blind man filed a $1.25 million lawsuit against Vince Iannello.

The lawsuit also named Royal LePage Your Community Realty brokerage as the defendant.

Harold said Vince was negligent and sought $1.25 million in general and punitive damages.

The blind victim said the sale has caused him and his wife to lose their sleep over their future. He pointed out that the couple doesn’t have enough funds to buy another house.

After Vince Iannello ‘tricked’ the blind victim into selling his home, the couple began renting a smaller home. Their new residence is miles away from their previous neighborhood.

Harold Verge told the media that Vince “needs to get his act together”.

In response, the realtor-turned-accountant said he denies any allegations of negligence or wrongdoing.

Why A Blind Man Filed a $1.25 Million Lawsuit Against Vince Iannello:

In April 2019, Harold and his wife had to move out of their house at 42 Connaught Ave. in Greenwood Avenue. They say Vince sold the house against their will.

The couple had been living there since 1995.

According to Harold Verge, Vince offered to help the couple renew their mortgages. The day after the renewal of the mortgages, he told the blind man that he and his wife can’t legally own a house anymore.

According to the lawsuit, Vince wrongly told the Verges that the law prohibited people over 65 years of age to own real estate. Hence, it was illegal for the couple to own the home.

It’s worth noting that Canada doesn’t have any laws prohibiting senior citizens from owning property in the country.

Vince Never Listed the House on the Multiple Listings Service

Apart from lying to the blind senior citizen, Vince Iannello never listed the house on the Multiple Listings Service aka MLS.

MLS allows realtors to attract more prospective buyers for their listings.

According to the lawsuit, Vince sold the home for ‘well under its market value’. It claims he failed to meet the standard of care you expect of professional realtors.

Vince Iannello sold the house for $675,000. It’s a 2 and a half storey semi-detached home.

Although it required substantial work, its appraisal was for $750,000 according to a Royal LePage email to the media.

Also, the email told the media that two similar properties on the street had recently sold for around $880,000.

Vince sold the house for way less than its market value.

The lawsuit alleges that Vince told his fellow real estate agents about the availability of the house. One of them found a buyer around nine days later.

However, Harold Verge and his wife didn’t want to sell their home.

But Vince Iannello advised them to accept the offer to purchase and wrongfully told them it contained an option in their favor to abort the transaction if they so choose. It didn’t have any provision of such kind.

Where is Vince Iannello Now?

After getting exposed, Vince Iannello stopped working as a real estate agent.

He hasn’t registered with any real estate property brokerage.

Now, he has become a financial expert and claims to help people with accounting, financial planning, tax, and other services. He runs Vince Iannello Professional Corporation.

It’s worth noting he wasn’t fired. He simply stopped working as a real estate agent.

Many people on social media shared their anger toward this story.

One person said Vince is a “greedy psychopath” who belongs behind bars. He highlighted that the fact Vince never posted the listing on MLS suggests he tried to hide the transaction.

Conclusion

You should choose your real estate agent with extreme caution. Vince isn’t the only realtor who received negative press because of his dubious actions.

Recently, Kyle Kerr of Zolo Realty switched companies after a woman shared online how he had drugged and sexually assaulted her.

Another example is Sepy Kopahi, a realtor facing legal action for forgery and fraud.

Hence, beware of Vince. Even though he is not a realtor anymore, his professional past doesn’t indicate he is a reliable professional.

Don’t have the guts to invest with any of the digital platforms then you can have several questions about the investment schemes and the quality of the house then no perfect answer is provided.

The profit they are making after selling these houses is uncountable and fooling all their investors is their major plan.

I once got trapped with these dealers for selling property, although in the name of property dealers, they are making a heavy profit after stealing the money of their clients and not providing them the required things, this shows their real personality and also the way they are behaving is different before the deal and after taking the money they are completely out of reach.

How can someone be this much cruel and scam a disabled person who is not aware of your false claims, from where do they get the courage to do these scams, even if the person is trusting you blindly even after being blind then this is the verge of cruelty.

My opinion regarding this is that women can’t be sexually harassed in the workplace. There should be a high-security system for women. So, they can be focused on their work. The company should also detect the particular guy who created these types of things in the office or outside the office.

The government takes some action regarding this type of scam where the people get easily fooled by some of the agents. And people can easily detect these types of agents whose main motive is to play with the feelings of people.

After investigating Vince Lannello, I found that he wasn’t a registered broker either, though it’s very rare to get any addresses of such people once their scam has been exposed. The old blind man and his poor wife were forced to live on rent even though they used to have a house of their own. It just breaks my heart. Truly.

I never trust these real estate agents. I remember when I asked a broker to put my house on the market for rent, he was working on the task for a few days but after a few weeks he started forcing me to sell the house because my family wasn’t living in the house, it was the old house of our grandparents. He asked me if he would manage to provide a high price for that, which made me uncomfortable. Eventually, I had to ask him to let it go. I told him I will not be able to do business with you. He still messages me and asks if I want to sell the house. That’s pure harassment. I can’t even imagine how that blind man must be feeling.

Vince is not the only realtor pulling such scams.

There are many more agents like Vince who are ready to ruin your life in seconds. After learning about this incident my mind was thinking about how the couple would sleep after the incident.

Strict actions should be taken against these fraudsters as they are sociopaths. Authorities should seize all their assets and sell them to repay the victims.

Vince Iannello sold the house, making the transaction hidden, which shows his fraudulent mentality towards the couple.

He was attempting to get all the money with him, without giving any idea to the owners.

Authorities should arrest him and make him repay the couple. There is no other solution.

He should be sent behind bars for pulling such a scam, keeping the couple in the dark after selling their house without their permission. This is what someone wouldn’t want to happen to themselves, so choose wisely people when you go out there looking for a real estate agent.

The shocking part is that he sold the house at a lower cost, as it looks like he was taking revenge or something on that poor couple.

People like Vence belong behind bars, no mercy should be given to fraudsters like them.
